Vrindavan Medallion

Hand-knotted over nine months by master weavers in Mirzapur, the Vrindavan Medallion centres a luminous gold lotus over a sea of royal maroon. Each square inch holds 200 Persian knots in lustrous New Zealand wool, with a fine silk pile bringing the central motif to life.

Inspired by the carved sandstone medallions of Vrindavan's temples, this rug is the result of four generations of weaving knowledge at the Ahmad family loom.
