Ahmad Family Loom
Master weavers, four generations
Specialists in 200+ KPSI hand-knotted wool-silk carpets.
Our Craft
Mirzapur has been weaving carpets since the days of the Mughals. Every Mirzapur Royale Rugs piece carries that lineage — knot by knot, family by family.
Our atelier was founded in 2008 by Sameer Ahmad, a third-generation weaver, with a simple ambition: bring the finest hand-knotted carpets of Mirzapur to a global audience while preserving the craft for the next generation of weavers.
Today we work directly with three master weaving families and a women's cooperative across Mirzapur. Each Heritage piece is woven on a traditional vertical loom from hand-spun wool, plant-dyed yarns, and Mulberry silk.

Sustainability
We pay fair wages — typically 2.3× the local minimum — and provide schooling stipends for our weavers' children.
Our wool is sourced from New Zealand and Bikaner, our silk from Karnataka. We use only AZO-free, plant-based and reactive dyes.
Every rug from Mirzapur Royale Rugs is guaranteed for life. We repair, re-fringe and restore — bring us your heirloom and we will keep it on your floor.
